Square Text Generator โ€“ ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ…€๐Ÿ…„๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ด Letters Copy & Paste

Square text is lettering made from Unicodeโ€™s squared Latin capitals, either filled ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†€ or outlined ๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ…€, both from the Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement block (U+1F100โ€“U+1F1FF). This square text generator converts what you type into either style so you can copy boxed letters into a bio, name or post.

Square letters look best with a little framing. The nicknames below wrap square text in symbols, and the grids under them hold symbols, kaomoji and emoji combos that sit well next to boxed letters in a game name or bio.

Filled vs outlined square letters

Unicode has two separate square alphabets, and the generator switches between them. Filled squares are white letters cut out of a black box; outlined squares are dark letters inside a thin frame. Both are among the most eye-catching of our fancy text styles, and both behave the same way in name fields.

Outlined squares๐Ÿ…‚๐Ÿ…€๐Ÿ…„๐Ÿ„ฐ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ„ดSQUARED LATIN CAPITAL LETTER AU+1F130โ€“U+1F149None: typed lowercase becomes capitalsNone

Two facts follow from that table. Square letters only exist as capitals, so โ€œhelloโ€ always comes out as ๐Ÿ„ท๐Ÿ„ด๐Ÿ„ป๐Ÿ„ป๐Ÿ„พ. And there is no matching set of squared digits, so the generator leaves numbers as they are. Both alphabets sit outside Unicodeโ€™s Basic Multilingual Plane, which means each square letter is stored as two UTF-16 code units; the guide to 10 fancy text styles and the Unicode blocks behind them explains why that matters for older apps.

Why ๐Ÿ…ฐ ๐Ÿ…ฑ ๐Ÿ…พ ๐Ÿ…ฟ sometimes turn red

Four filled square letters do double duty as emoji: ๐Ÿ…ฐ (U+1F170) and ๐Ÿ…ฑ (U+1F171) are the blood type A and B signs, ๐Ÿ…พ (U+1F17E) is blood type O, and ๐Ÿ…ฟ (U+1F17F) is the parking sign. Depending on the device and app, they can appear as colored emoji tiles in the middle of an otherwise black word, so ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ may show two red squares among two black ones.

If a consistent look matters, switch to outlined squares: none of the outlined letters has an emoji form. If you like the mix, keep it; it is still ordinary text and copies the same way.

Where square text works: Discord, Instagram and CODM

Whether square text survives depends on the field, not on the generator. A username field usually accepts only plain letters, while a display name or bio accepts almost any Unicode character up to a length limit. The table below pairs each platformโ€™s published rule with what it means for square text; the last column says honestly whether we have pasted it on a live account.

Platform and fieldPublished ruleWhat that means for square textLive paste test
Discord username2โ€“32 characters; lowercase letters, numbers, underscore and period onlyRejected: square text uses characters outside that setRule from Discordโ€™s help center; not pasted
Discord display name1โ€“32 characters; special characters allowedAllowed by the rule; each square letter is one character but two UTF-16 code unitsNot yet tested on a live account
Instagram usernameLetters, numbers, periods and underscoresRejected: styled letters are not in that setNot yet tested on a live account
Instagram bio150 charactersAllowed by the rule; long lines may hit the limit sooner than plain textNot yet tested on a live account
Call of Duty: Mobile nameShort name field; published guides disagree on the exact limit (14โ€“16 characters) and the game filters some symbolsMay be refused or shortened; the game decidesNot yet tested in game

Rules reviewed 7 October 2026. Platforms change their filters without notice, so paste into the real field before you rely on it. Discord, Instagram and Call of Duty: Mobile are trademarks of their owners (Call of Duty is published by Activision); SoShareIT Fancy Text is an independent site with no connection to them.

Square text FAQ

How do I make square text?

Type your words in the box at the top of this page, choose Filled squares or Outlined squares, and press Copy. Paste the result anywhere that accepts Unicode text, such as a bio, a display name or a message.

Why are all my square letters capitals?

Unicode only encodes squared capital letters. There are no lowercase square letters, so the generator converts each lowercase letter to its squared capital.

Why do some square letters turn red?

The filled ๐Ÿ…ฐ, ๐Ÿ…ฑ, ๐Ÿ…พ and ๐Ÿ…ฟ are also emoji, so some devices draw them as colored icons. Outlined square letters have no emoji forms and stay consistent.

Can I make square numbers?

Not as a matching set. Unicode has no squared digits to pair with the square letters, so the generator leaves numbers plain.

For a softer look, the SoShareIT Fancy Text generator turns the same words into bubble, bold, cursive or small caps in one tap.
